Denver-Vail Orthopedics Patient Testimonials

Dear Dr. Stanley,

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for all that you have done for me and for taking the time to listen to me. Before my surgery I could not even walk through a store.

Since my surgery I am able to walk and it is wonderful. As a matter of fact a few weeks ago I was able to walk about six miles with my grandsons at the Castle Rubber Duck Derby. Because of you I have my life back. Thank you so much for all that you have done and God Bless You.

Sincerely,

Renee C.

Dr. Stanley,

Well here we are 6 months later, half ways there. Today is Graduation day to mark 6 months of perfect healing. It’s all because of you Scott. I have never better. I can do things now that I haven’t been able to do for over 7 years. I bounce around like Tigger from Winnie the Pooh J & staying sweet. I’m on a whole new string of events! I wanted to share my happiness with you. Enjoy your brown bag. You will find things in your bag that goes with the above words. Thanks Doc.

Sincerely,

Carrie M.

Dr. David Oster and Denver-Vail Staff

I sincerely appreciate you working me into the schedule today and accommodating my needs. I have found the staff to be professional, courteous and genuinely caring. I give you all a "Kudos"

Thank you,

Dear Dr. Oster,

You know, sometimes this old world is spinning around so fast, it's hard to stop and bless someone. Occasionally however, a special moment and an extraordinary person comes along and totally astonishes you with their kindness and giving. Friday, April 16, 2010 was that moment, and you Dr. Oster were that person.

Knowing my insurance would not cover your medical attention, you chose to bless me anyway and you treated me out of the kindness of your heart.

Well, on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the best, you went way over the top with a score of, let's say, 10 zillion or so!

I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart and say, "a big blessing is coming back at you" Thanks again. The "older lady" with the left knee owie.

Dear Dr. Oster,

Thank you very much for taking time out of your busy schedule to talk to our Pre-med class! I was especially intrigued by your presentation. The video of the surgeries that you brought was extremely fascinating. My family has a long history of knee problems, so it was exciting to see what actually happens during surgery!

Thank you so much, again for coming in and talking to our class and sharing all about your fascinating career!

Sincerely,

Dear Dr. David Oster,

Thank you so much for taking the time to put together a lesson and presentation for our Pre-Med class. If you don’t already know, this year has been the trial run for Pre-Med at Chaparral High School and thanks to the people like you, it has been a wonderful success. You were one of the few Doctors to show a video of a surgery or anything, and I must say that it definitely made getting up at five that morning worth it.

I guess I had a personal interest in seeing the knee surgery because I have dislocated my knee cap and I really wanted to see what it looks like in there. I was not disappointed, and that was one of the most interesting videos I have ever seen. It was very interesting to watch the bones easily get shaved off and screws be drilled in and metal pieces be glued in. It seemed so complex. It is kind of strange however to think about how much bigger everything looked on the TV screen when in reality they aren’t very big at all.

I don’t remember what it i s called really but the thing that cleans up the cut from trimming that piece between the bones is insane. I would be nervous that my hand wasn’t steady enough as I smoothed the edge. Any Doctor who does any sort of surgery is so skilled. Orthopedics, it seems, have to be pretty creative when it comes to reconstruction and have an in depth knowledge of a lot of things during any surgery.

Thanks again for coming to our class and showing us that video and telling us about what it means to be an Orthopedic. It was very cool to see what a knee looks like on the inside. I hope that you enjoyed speaking to us; your class was very interesting and exciting.

Sincerely,

Ashley H.

Dear Dr. David Oster,

Thank you so much for contributing your spare time to us students at Chaparral High School. Dedicating that time really meant a lot for me especially because I was unsure of what type of medical field I wanted to go into. After listening to your presentation, I felt more eager to actually look into and research orthopedic surgery.

I never knew orthopedics was such a terrific medical specialty, and that the education was well worth fourteen years of training. It was very interesting to hear about how the field has expanded, over the years, to encompass many subspecialties and the treatment of a wide variety of musculoskeletal disorders in patients of all ages. Moreover, it was amazing to see how many possibilities there were for fixing/ repairing parts of the musculoskeletal system in the early centuries. This whole aspect is shocking; to see how far we have come with technology and science, show us that there are no limits to facilitating treatments for the doctors as well as the patients.

Thank you again for an amazing presentation.

Sincerely,

Dear Dr. David Oster,

Hi, I am a student in the medical class at Chaparral High School. I am writing this letter to express my gratitude for the time you volunteered to speak to our class. This class was such a great opportunity, I am thus very thankful that you contributed to making the medical class a success. I know that I want to be a doctor, and at the moment I am considering orthopedics. I was very excited when I heard that you were coming to teach the class, because I would be able to get an small glimpse into the world that I would hopefully be apart of. I found the pictures and videos of various surgeries very interesting, especially the meniscus surgery. In fact, I later did a presentation in another class on the subject, because of the information you initially provided me in your lecture. I am very thankful for the advantages and opportunities you have helped to provide everyone in this class, things that I never thought that I would have in high school. I hope the very best for you in the future.

Sincerely,

Dear Dr. Dave Oster,

I would like to thank you for taking the time to come and talk to Chaparral’s medical class about orthopedic surgery. Your lecture was fascinating. There really aren’t words to describe how great the video was of you performing knee surgery. I learned quite a bit about ligament reconstruction surgery, like how doctors use grafts from other ligaments or tendons to repair the tissue. You have interested me in orthopedic medicine because of how intriguing your lecture and video were. In fact, I would like to shadow you someday. Thank you for showing me some of the things that a doctor does while working in sports medicine as an orthopedic surgeon. It was a privilege to hear your lecture.

Dear Dr. David Oster,

I just want to thank you for the time you took to come speak to the premed class at Chaparral High School. Speaking for the entire class, we are so glad that you were able to take the time out of your busy schedule and come at six in the morning to teach us about Orthopedics and surgical procedures. We are all thankful for people like you who have stepped out of their way to help us through high school and prepare us for life.

This was one of the most interesting things that I have learned about all year. The surgery of the ACL reconstruction was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. I know many people who have had this surgery and now I know how it is done and what it is like.

This really helped me keep interested in the premed class. Going into this class I was not sure if I wanted to go into medicine. After your presentation I have begun to look deeper into this field and will possibly go into this practice after high school.

Once again thank you for your time and knowledge and I hope you continue to do the same for students in the future as you did for my class.

Sincerely,

I went to Denver Vail Orthopedics in early 2008 for a broken foot and a broken shoulder my doctor was Dr Oster, I found the service and the staff outstanding, they have the top of the line imagine equipment and I felt my Doctor went above and beyond to make sure I healed properly. Most recently I was referred for back surgery I was referred to an other practice, but I felt my needs would be best met at Denver Vail, and I have no doubt I will receive the best care here

Thanks!

Dr. Oster,

Dr. Resig,

Thank you so much for putting my husbands hip back together! You are a wonderful doctor!. We will always remember you.

Dr. Oster,

Just a quick note to thank you for "fixing" my shoulder. When I came to your office in November, I expected to get a quick injection or two and be on my way. I never would have imagined that my rotator cuff and biceps tendon were torn (I still can't figure out how that happened) and in need of repair. While I didn't think my shoulder would ever get better, it did, and I truly appreciate the thorough care and attention you've provided me over the past several months.

Thanks again for everything. I knew when Scott and Julie sent me to you I was in good hands...and I can now confidently say "Traina who?!"

Best,

Jill

Dear Dr. Oster,

I am in awe of what you do. The video of my surgery is a mind blower! My knee feels better already.

My heartfelt thanks for the relief you have given me. I'm so impressed with this entire procedure, including your office staff and the surgical center staff.

Bless you.

Barbara

Dr. Motz,

Thank you for your expert care and advice. You helped me and I think the Grand View Wolves are lucky to have you. I will keep you informed as to my progress and when you scoping is necessary you will be the one to do it. Thank you.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff and physicians at Denver - Vail Orthopedics. I have been a patient there for nearly 7 years. I have always been greeted warmly and professionally by every member of the staff. I have seen Dr. Motz for several joint problems - I even told him when we met, that I had enough joints for him to take care of that I would probably be able to help send his kids to college!!! He laughed then, but now after 2 arthroscopies, a rotator cuff repair and numerous injections, I think he is starting to believe me! I also see Dr. Hess. You see, after Dr. Motz exhausted all efforts to help my joints along, the next step was to the king of joint replacements! I have had my right hip and left knee replaced by this wonderful man with excellent results. We are nursing my right knee and left hip along right now, but I have all the confidence in the world in Dr. Hess. I must not forget to mention the wonderful staff that I have been in contact with, from the front desk to the assistants of the doctors. Peggy is just awesome and so are Adrienne and Marita. Jax, Dr. Hess’ assistant is the warmest, most wonderful person to talk to. Bernie, Dr. Motz' assistant is just as valuable. Then there is Diane that shared her opinion of vacation spots with me. Sometimes when I go there, I feel like the character Norm from Cheers....everyone yells ‘Hey Bev, what's happening?!’. Just recently, Marita saw me coming and filled the candy dish! Denver Vail Orthopedics is a wonderful, professional office that can take care of all your joint needs at any level. I tell everyone that I know about this place and even handed out cards on Election Day when I overheard someone talking about knee pain! Give them a visit; you will be treated like royalty by all you come in contact with!!!

Sincerely,
Beverly

“When I was 18 years old I was bucked off a horse and fractured my pelvis in four places. At the age of thirty-seven, the pain and instability of my hip became more than I could bear. I contacted the doctors at Denver-Vail Orthopedics, P.C. and was scheduled for total hip replacement. At the time of the surgery, I was in charge of the health and welfare of 18,000 head of cattle in a feed lot. I spent 6-12 hours a day riding horses. I was back at work and on horseback just 7.5 weeks after the total hip replacement. I have and still do continue to ride horses and break colts eight years after the surgery. I am very active; I am a part-time farrier, avid big-game hunter and weight lifter. I have put the new hip to the ultimate test and it has held up wonderfully. I have been bucked off several horses since and have landed directly on the hip with no effects on it. I live my life as if the hip replacement had never been done and unless I tell people they would never know I had a new hip. The surgery brought back my quality of life and I thank the doctors and staff for the quality of care and medical treatment I received. I go in yearly for a checkup and am always greeted by smiling faces that remember me by name. I have and will continue to recommend people to get the replacement done if necessary and I always recommend Denver-Vail Orthopedics.”
