Hip Bursitis

Many patients are seen and examined for hip pain attributed to bursitis in the area of the trochanteric bursa. This commonly causes pain along the outside part of the hip joint aggravated with certain types of activities and frequently successfully treated with corticosteroid injections or anti-inflammatory medications. Sometimes, this abnormality is associated with arthritis of the right hip, which deserves further investigation and treatment
